
What do you consider about draft beer and in what light? We all know beer is probably the best beverage on the planet before wine, coffee, hard liquor because it’s tasty, fizzy, just gives enough kick to set the fun in motion; and I am willing to bet that beer has bonding qualities that no other beverage has the way beer does. It in fact cross borders between sexes in casual’est of manners making itself the meeting place of mind, body, and sometimes the soul?, reflectively.
What goes with beer? Lets count: steaks, burgers, cheese, salad, kadai chicken, tikkas, roast lamb, tacos, tapas, enchiladas, trust me the list is endless because everything becomes better with beer. Wanna bet on morning egg and toast? Imagine on a beach house vacation, morning breakfast egg, toast, sausage and fine Corona.
I feel in India, we have been unfair and uncool to the biggest hotseller product in the world because of our collective lack of understanding and the way beer companies have really promoted beer. To my dismay, the way they set a bar to sell beer is by giving a flash line chiller, a keg and tower. This method is only one step better than home beer pumps that kids use in picnics.
To my further dismay, I have come across bar owners that proclaim draft beer is not for the savvy bars, when instead to me it is the crowning on any bar without which, your bar’s counter might as well look like a long hotel reception.
Imagine from the hottest beverage on the planet how beer is treated in India like a cheap drink by so many, yet when they have their own parties buckets of beers are purchased first by them; and they drink it just like I said they do with steaks, sandwiches, fries, salads, and tikkas.
The question arises how have you treated beer in your own business and what position have you offered it in products, and what investment have you made over the years in making it into a top seller money spinner? I’ll give one example, Rockman’s Beer Island took the cake away from under everyone’s nose by making a microbrewery pub based on beer and the beer café in Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj has carved its own niche. There is a silent revolution happening and beer cafes and bars are sprouting all over India by new entrepreneurs who did not know like the older ones that beer didn’t work! So theirs did.
ITC Hotels made Dublin as Irish pub and it was great, only its marketing turned more like a nightclub that operates late nights as a discotheque. Maybe I feel somewhere if only they had truly represented the place as a Diner’s paradise with great beer meals the Dublin could have certainly become a phenomenon.
We have the line of this story about beer’s coolness, but we still are out of ideas at least good ones on how to implement beer in our own bars. Well I didn’t write all this because I had no clue on it. As a fact, we have set up beer delivery systems for Rockman’s Beer Island, Dublin Irish pubs (Delhi and Chennai), Taj Gateway Bangalore, Chancery Pavilion Bangalore and a load many offering perfect beer solutions from microbrewery, pub, to regular bars from high to low volume applications.
Beer can be set with options available in the market for your bar in the smartest, functional, stylish and desirable manners using long draw or direct draw systems with an aria of selection of beer towers run using glycol coolant refrigerated lines through reserve walk-in coolers or beer chillers.
